A few weeks ago I was browsing etzy and came across
Bake it pretty and fell in love with these cup cake toppers.

How could you not right??! And because it was my Birthday, I bought them. I knew I wasn't going to decorate cup cakes with these little beauties but I wanted to create shadow boxes with them. Do you know the
I Spy books? Personally I love, love the pictures and the creativity that it takes to create the scenes. My little shadow boxes remind me of the I spy books.

Hi Ho. They are on their way home.

And a little snowy, winter scene

These kept me occupied for a little while. They are hanging pretty in our dining room now and make me smile every time I walk by :o))
I also finally got around to try
this project. And wow it involves fabric. Fabric scraps I have from floor to ceiling and I am always looking for projects were I can use them . So I sewed the little birds and loved the little birds. With good faith I started to group them and glue them to their destination on the sticks.... I even thought about how to balance the mobile. It drove me "insane!!!!!!"

No matter how I tried and I had to try many, many times... Which included lots of hot glue and now sticky and (now) not so cute birds... The mobile just didn't want to come together. The birds make everything collapse. So for now there are only 4 sitting on one stick hanging from my wall. Sometimes you just have to step away... But if anyone knows how to construct a mobile or has done this particular project with success, please share your knowledge :) I really do love the idea of having one hanging in my living room.
