El Porto, I heart you so!!

Thank you Nancy for creating yet another lovely, lovely pattern. I just had the greatest time making myself an early Christmas present by sewing El Porto. I used all my favorite fabric scraps and this bag speaks me. Yes, it is loud and colorful and totally over the top!

Check out the pattern at Farbenmix. I am so glad that even though El Porto didn't make it into the BOOK it was still printed for us :) So thank you gain!!

I forgot to add, that it is a very roomy bag. The perfect sports bag, or hip diaper bag or if you like me, a typical Mom, who ends up carrying the odd sock and "stuff" around you can still be organized with all the different pockets and compartments. I also love the media pocket on the strap.. Now I just need to have my own ipod. I am so behind the times....

I have really neglected my poor blog!

My excuse, I am very busy making things and taking care of business. Like probably all of you I am extremely busy with the upcoming Holiday. Honestly how come one can plan ahead and still feel like you are simply going to run out of time?

I wanted to share our Holiday skirts with you however. They came out so nice! I used new patterns by Farbenmix. The adult version is called Valeska and the kids version is called Uljana. The skirts are sewn in practically now time and look just fantastic. Plus you don't need a whole lot of fabric... Well mine did but I am also.. A bit on the heavy side :/
Here they are:

You know, my children roll their eyes at me because I just cannot help my obsession with toadstools and woodland creatures...

Here is my silly girl Romy! She turned 5 on the 8th (two birthdays, Finn turned 10 on the 6th also didn't help time wise..).. She is wearing the Uljana skirt made with my very own designed fabric. Available for purchase here fyi :) The fabric quality from Spoonflower is outstanding!!

And last comes Ella's skirt. I had a small end piece of this lovely velvet from seasons past in my closet. Just big enough for this skirt. I hand crochet the lace around the pocket to make it extra festive.

There are still some projects I would like to share. But alas the dishes need to be done and lunch needs to be served :)
