While the cat is gone...

Or should I say cats? Actually it is the husband and the two girls that went to Iowa and left my son and myself alone, here in WA. We could not go because we are on chick duty... The chickens are growing a mile a minute! I have no pictures because honestly right now they are ugly. All the fluff is falling out. We are seeing bald patches and prickly new feathers are emerging. Definitely going through the teenage stage.. Also in attitude! They raise their chests and charge each other. They also simply walk over each other when a unfortunate someone does not move out of the way fast enough. And oh!! The DUST!!!  I am happy we have them in an unused bathroom! It will take weeks for me to clean up the place once they move out into the chicken coop. The day cannot come fast enough I tell you! But yes, they are also a joy and fun to watch. So not all is bad ; ) Oh and you should see our dog Polly. She would just love to jump into their habitat.. She vibrates and has makes keening sound deep in her throat.. I am sure she is dying to lick each and every one of them...

Enough of those animals!

Let me show you another much cuter animals that I made whilst I twirled my thumbs and had nothing better to do but watch chickens and dust!

First up a beautiful, scene from Paris France! This artful box makes me smile from ear to ear and I really, debated with myself, if I wanted to list it in my etsy shop. Someone out there is going to enjoy it, maybe even more than me though and also, the gift is in my hands so maybe I will have another fun idea and that one will be all mine.. So here it goes:

Hidden inside the suitcase (made of paper and painted) is a music box. When you crank the handle it plays "La vie en rose".. So much fun!

Doesn't this little guy make you happy???

Ok I also thought about Halloween and oh, poor Edward (Bella, er... Kirsten how could you) and Vampire mice! Such a could idea, also I found these perfect coffins that just needed a coat of paint.

And here is is Love for allllll of time

Sweet huh? Ok, My fingers hurt badly. Those dang needles are sharp! Even the Vamps did not appreciate the bloody sacrifice, they just like to suck on cheese after all...

So honestly, I am ready for the husband and my two girls to come back home. They can also take over the chick duty, I need a vacation.

Cheerio,
Yvonne
